Cam followers. So called tappets or hydraulic lifters should as light as possible. For this reason SCHRICK developed its spezial lifters with approx. 30g lighter weight compared to OEM tappets. New lifters should be used when putting a new camshaft in your engine. We focus on quality: that's why you'll only find parts in the BAR-TEK® tuning shop that we've tested ourselves on the racetrack or the performance test bench and found to be good. You can rely on it!

We also have reinforced BAR-TEK® tappets in our range which, thanks to their light weight, can easily compete with SCHRICK hydro tappets.
Why do hydraulic tappets rattle?
There are various reasons why hydraulic tappets start to rattle. Causes can be a lack of oil, insufficient oil pressure, incorrect oil or contamination. In addition, a mechanical defect can cause the tappets to rattle - in this case you should have the parts replaced.
