There’s a historic touch to tuning G60 engines, and not just for old tuning pros. If you’d like to make a Golf 2 or Corrado with emotional value faster, this tuning guide is just what you need for a lasting performance boost. Up to 100 more horsepower is possible, divided into five tuning stages!

Of course, the same applies to our Stage 3 kit as to Kit 1 & 2, but from here on an oil cooler kit should be installed so that the oil temperature is always in the green range. Our adjustable camshaft sprocket is also a must-have. The Schrick camshaft shifts the timing. To adjust them correctly you need our adjustable camshaft sprocket.
Since the camshaft of the Tuning-Kit 3 is replaced by one from Schrick, you should also order the necessary parts for the assembly. For example: set of sports hydro tappets, valve cover gasket, mounting grease for the camshaft and the already mentioned camshaft sprocket. Also here you should refuel 102 octane.

Also here we recommend the same accessories as with our Tuning-Kits 1–3. In order to be able to use the full achievement, straight also in the summer, we recommend additionally the large intercooler kit, so that your intake air temperature is always in the green range!

We recommend a sports clutch for the G60 with an output of 240 PS (177 kW) or more. This allows the high torque to be transmitted safely. A G-Lader rebuild should be done right away, unless the G-Lader has just been overhauled.
The same applies here as with the previous tuning kits: Starting from 240 PS (177 kW) at least the 380 nozzles must be installed. For vehicles with green nozzles we recommend the conversion to the Bosch 380 ccm nozzles! For G60 engines with a mileage of over 100,000 km, reinforced forged pistons should be used. These can withstand the higher pressure and higher temperatures. Of course we also recommend 102 octane.

These performances are based on our experience. Therefore we can only give you a guideline. Every engine is different and many factors play a role in the performance increase. These include the fuel used, software tuning and mileage. Therefore all data are without guarantee.
